Sigma Kappa
I have always looked at Greek life as something that I would never be apart of. I always thought it was this particular girl that was destined to be in a sorority. For some reason I decided to go through formal recruitment. I fell in love. I realized through formal recruitment that there was all sorts of girls there were creepy ones, sweet ones, nerdy girls, silly girls and funny girls. I found my niche. Sigma Kappa had all the girls that I was looking for. I have found a place that I can call my second home. I have made so many memories with these girls and I am so proud to call myself a sigma kappa.

My situation with Greek life had a very different beginning but a very similar end. I always knew I wanted to be in a sorority because I had never experienced having such a close group of friends before. But when I got to Western I forgot about it and thought I didn’t actually want to go through with recruitment. Though, after formal recruitment was complete I realized I wished I actually had done it. I wasn’t able to do formal recruitment, but I happen to meet some girls in Sigma Kappa and met even more of the girls through them. I realized that those are the people I want to surround myself with and am actually going for it. I cannot wait until next semester when I can join and make new memories with all of you guys!
